W. David Ferguson

Mr. Ferguson joined the New Brunswick Public Service in 1972 when he moved to Fredericton from Ottawa on a two year exchange program with the federal government. He liked New Brunswick so much he decided to stay. He has worked with the provincial government in a variety of capacities in Fredericton ever since.
Prior to his appointment as Deputy Minister of the Department of Natural Resources and Energy, Mr. Ferguson served as the Deputy Minister of the Department of the Solicitor General. Before that he had been the Deputy Minister of Advanced Education and Labour.
Previous to this, he held a number of senior management positions including Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for Human Resources Management and the Board of Management, Director of Labour Relations, Director of Human Resources Development and Director of Personnel Policy.
Mr. Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University.
