Sue Emson is the Literacy Librarian at the Saskatoon Public Library, a position she has held for 15 years. Sue works with a community based literacy organization, READ Saskatoon as the library’s representative. Together they have designed and delivered innovative literacy programs to make public library services in Saskatoon more accessible to literacy learners.
Sue was a founding board member of the Saskatchewan Literacy Network and has also served as a board member for the Saskatoon Literacy Coalition. She is an active member of the Canadian Library Association’s Action for Literacy Interest Group.
Sue has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters of Library and Information Studies from McGill University.
