Welcome to the Adult Learning Association
of Cape Breton County!

WHAT'S HAPPENING

The Adult Learning Association of Cape Breton County responds to the learning needs of adults.

The Adult Learning Association of Cape Breton County provides free upgrading classes in Glace Bay, New Waterford, Sydney, and North Sydney for adults 19 years of age and over, who have been out of school for at least 1 year.

Classes follow the Nova Scotia Adult learning Program, Levels 1 and 2 (grades 1 - 8). Completion of Level 2 can lead to admission to the Level 3 program at the Nova Scotia Community College or the CBVRSB Adult High Schools. Both daytime and evening classes are available; and there is a choice of full-time and part-time classes. Classes run from September to May, and may be started at any time. Visit the Sydney Learning Centre at 28 Hillview Street, Sydney (second floor) for more information or to register for a class.
