Donations & Bursaries

  • Donations to our Learners’ Fund support learner bursaries, class field trips and workshops.

  • Learner bursaries are given to learners who are moving on to further studies.  Bursaries can change lives, as they help people get through the financially challenging first month of school.

  • Workshops make learning practical and relevant, providing skills that people need at home, at work and in the community.

  • Class field trips to CBU plays, local museums and special events help our learners become more engaged in the community, which makes our communities stronger.

Bursary Award Recipients

The Adult Learning Association of Cape Breton County Learner Bursary Program is designed to provide financial assistance to adult learners who have completed an ALACBC program and are moving on to further studies at another educational institution.

The Adult Learning Association of Cape Breton County is pleased to announce the bursary winners for 2010-11. The 2010-11 Adult Learning Association Bursary recipients are:
