Meet Nadine…
a well-known Yellowknife young entrepreneur, articulate, organized, enrolled in a business degree at Concordia University in Montreal, bilingual … and she uses Phonic Ear, tradename for a FM sound enhancement system.

Serendipity played a part in its discovery. Her younger brother was prescribed "the Ear", as she affectionately calls it, and, curious and supportive big sister that she is, she had to try it! What was this? Clear, crystal clear words! She knew she had to use it and she did!

It was amazing! She could hear everything the lecturer said. No fuzzy or garbled words. No important bits covered up with coughing or shuffling. No temptation to let her mind wander for a moment or two out of tiredness. Every word was registering.

Nadine's marks soared from very creditable to a delightful and well-deserved first class average.

Nadine explains: "Professors were curious but very enthusiastic when approached to wear "the Ear". One professor compared the classes where I had the FM System to the days I forgot it (oops), and was astounded by the difference of my ability to comprehend and participate in the classroom.

"I found out about this quite by chance … and now I wouldn't be at school without it. I'm delighted to share my experiences with others."

"Children face so much adversity in their lives. Parents and teachers can teach children to read and write; teach the difference between right and wrong; shape their morals and heighten their dreams. Yet, to make all this possible there is one piece of the puzzle that could still be missing. No one can teach a child to hear. The FM System could be that missing piece …. It was for me."

So, if you or someone you know struggles to make sense of the spoken word, especially in a crowd or when there are background noises, you might want to check out a FM sound system! Give us a call.
