What Can I Do To Get Ready!

  • Get parenting and prenatal information from other parents, your public health nurse, your local family resource center and your doctor.

  • Take prenatal classes from your public health nurse.

  • Start thinking about how you will feed me.

    • It is really important that you get as much information as possible so you can make the best choice for you and me.

  • Look for a Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program in your area to get more information on healthy eating and lifestyle changes.

    • Some programs offer free milk, juice and prenatal vitamins.

  • Check out childcare services in your area if you plan to go back to school or work.

Remember!
A child is a gift.
