Abrasions -
When you serape a part of your body, such as your
hand, elbows, or knees, the part that gets all bloody and sore is called an
abrasion.
That's where the skin is scratched off and the blood beneath the skin oozes
through. Sometimes it can hurt a bit, but not for very long. To heal an
abrasion, you should first wash the area and pick out any pieces of dirt that
are stuck in there. To prevent infection, the wound should be cleaned very well
and covered with a bandage, or a special piece of sterile gauze, called
"dressing."
Adenoids -
Trouble with your adenoids will give you problems
breathing and it may seem like you have a cold all the time. What happens is
that some parts of your breathing passages swell up and are almost blocked off.
The doctor will usually give you some medication. If it keeps happening over
and over again, you may have to go into the hospital to get them fixed.
