ANEMIA -
Everybody needs a certain amount of iron in their
blood. Anemia occurs when you do not have enough iron, either because you are not eating
enough of the proper foods - like meat, or broccoli - that have lots of iron in
them, or because your body is having trouble absorbing iron. You may feel tired
all the time, or have rapid breathing and pulse, and pale, or yellowish skin.
Anemia can be corrected by eating more foods that are high in iron, or by
taking iron pills (or vitamins with iron).
ANOREXIA NERVOSA - When some children (usually older children) stop eating for long
periods of time they may have an eating disorder called Anorexia Nervosa. This
really means a nervous loss of appetite (not hungry) and most often happens to
females. Thinking they are too fat they starve themselves to lose weight. This
is something no one should do as it destroys healthy body tissue and can make
you very sick. Working with a special doctor who knows a lot about this
disorder will help a person with Anorexia Nervosa.
 Did you know
that there are over 100,000 miles of Blood Vessels in the grown human body.
Most of them are so microscopic (very very tiny) that the human eye can not see
them. Blood vessels carry life giving food to every cell in your body.
