OLLIE...WHY IS MY THROAT SORE? titleOllie the owl on a tree branch

HOARSENESS title  This has nothing to do with real horses. This is when your voice sounds different as a result of screaming or from an allergy, the croup or something called laryngitis. Sometimes, because of it, you can hardly talk because it affects your vocal cords (the area in your throat that allows you to speak) If this happens to you rest your throat by speaking very quietly or not at all for awhile; drink warm liquids and breathe some steam from a vaporizer (your mom and dad will show you what that is). It should clear up in a day or two.

MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY - In your body girl with muscular dystrophythere are things called muscles which control all of your body's movement. When you have muscular dystrophy, your muscles get weak and you may feel clumsy. They get so weak sometimes that you will have to wear braces or use a wheelchair. There are a lot of treatments available including physical therapies that can help.
