POISONING - When children consume poisons, they have taken a substance that could seriously harm and damage their bodies. All young children are very curious and even though they may have been taught and instructed lots of times by their mom and dad not to, they can still make mistakes by touching or drinking poisons. There are many things around your house that are poisonous. Ask your mom & dad to show you the ones in your house so that you know what not to touch. If there is an accident and you take a poison. then your parents will immediately read the warning label on the poison container for instructions on what to do. If there isn't any, they will immediately call the poison control centre in your community for instructions. The phone number should be posted near the phone (and in the back of this book) along with the police department, fire department, your doctor and other emergency services.
