
You mean an Intravenous. An IV, as it's often called, is a device that feeds
medicines or fluids directly into a patients veins. A person's body is able to
absorb the fluids and medicines much faster from an IV than by taking them into
the mouth. The IV is a clear plastic bag hung on a pole containing fluid or
medicine. Plastic tubes connect the bag to a needle that is placed into a vein
(in the wrist or hand) so that the fluid or medicine goes directly into the
blood stream.

| SCABIES -
Is a skin
infection that
occurs when a tiny almost invisible insect (called a mite) burrows into your
skin. Your skin will feel very itchy, especially at night, and you will have
thin squiggly lines on your skin that look like they were drawn by a pencil.
Your doctor will give you a special cream to get rid of the mites & stop
the itching.

If you are in shock, something big has happened to
you and you don't really understand what and why. It could have happened in an
accident where you had a big cut and lost a lot of blood. You will have to see
a doctor immediately if you are suffering from shock. You may feel cold when it
is hot; you may feel hot, when it is cold or you may be disoriented (confused)
and not know who or where you are.
