NEW CALENDAR

The Provincial Advisory Committee launched the new calendar on June 11th at the Mamateek in Corner Brook with a Community Network Luncheon. Minister Judy Foote had agreed to be guest speaker but had to cancel at the last minute. Linda Coles filled in on very short notice and we were very thankful that she could make it.

Marilyn Forward, a former Family Literacy Coordinator also spoke on the importance of early reading to children. The calendar was designed by Elita Rahn, a local graphic artist and the Advisory Committee hopes it will provide parents with a wealth of good information related to literacy!

OFFICE CLOSURE

The Books for Babies office will be closed from July 1 - September 9.

BIRTHDAY NEWSLETTERS

The Year One, Two, Three and Four Newsletters have been printed and are available. These are free to local groups and will be sent with the follow-up books. They will be posted to our website at www.nald.ca/booksforbabies. Updated information is sent to this website regularly!
