Books
for Babies® Begins
in Bishop's Falls - There was great
excitement at the Bishop's Falls Public Library on Friday, October
22nd, when the library Board launched the Books for Babies® program.
There were 14 parents and 2 soon-to-be moms in attendance.
The library was decorated with a welcome banner and pink and
blue balloons. A game was played to introduce parents and babies
to each other with parents winning prizes. A beautiful basket of
baby items was given as a door prize.
Tina Stewart, Provincial Coordinator,
was introduced. She explained the program and presented the parents
with Books for Babies® tote bags.
A delicious lunch was served and enjoyed by all attending, including
some of the babies!
We would like to
thank Rogers Cable
who were present to
do an interview with
Tina and also Sue
Hickey, a reporter
from our local paper,
The Advertiser.
Special thanks to
Elizabeth Wall for decorating and donating a
baby cake and to Mr. Dan
Oldford of Trans Canada
Irving for donating sandwich
trays.
The parents were delighted
with this program and expressed
their thanks to the
Board members present for
becoming a sponsor of Bishop's Falls Books for Babies®.
