Train-the-Trainer Events

To meet the growing demand for practitioner training in Foundations in Family Literacy, the Centre for Family Literacy and the National Steering Committee for Foundations in Family Literacy are pleased to announce that two Train-the-Trainer events will take place in 2008. This training is made possible by a grant from the Office of Literacy and Essential Skills, HRSDC.

Dates and Locations
Vancouver: April 27 to 30, 2008
Ottawa: October 17 to 20, 2008

Criteria for Participation
Individuals will be selected to participate in Foundations in Family Literacy Training for Trainers based upon criteria established to ensure the high level of expertise and skills that will be required to deliver Foundations in Family Literacy training to practitioners across the country.

Applicants will be notified of their status within three weeks of receipt of their application.

Cost of Training
All training costs, including accommodations and two meals a day (breakfast and lunch), will be covered for successful applicants.

Transportation expenses, including airfare to and from Vancouver or Ottawa, are the responsibility of the participant and/or her or his organization.
