Foundations in Family Literacy

Dear Colleagues,

The fall programming season is now well underway and we trust that your family literacy programs are continuing successfully. We are pleased to send you a new edition of an electronic newsletter, with updates on the activities of the Foundations in Family Literacy project. The next two years will see further exciting developments in this national training program, culminating in an expanded and improved training that will be modular in format and will be available in both face-to-face and on-line formats. It will also form the basis for a Family Literacy Certificate Program at several colleges across the country. We will use the results of the on-line survey that many of you participated in last fall to make the revisions and additions to the training.

You will also find information in this e-newsletter regarding the application process for participating in one of the two Foundations in Family Literacy Train-the-Trainer events that will take place in 2008.

If you have any questions or suggestions concerning the project, please feel most welcome to contact any of the project coordinators or members of the project steering committee listed at the end of the newsletter.
