Disabilities: A Look From the Inside
Patt Hatt, an adult literacy and LD specialist, will discuss some of the
barriers to technology for the learning disabled, as well as sharing her own
experience with using technology as a tool. Ms. Hatt, who has a Masters Degree
in Adult Language and Learning Problems, has worked in the field of Adults with
Special Needs for over 25 years.The workshop will be held at the Centre for

The 16th Annual Conference of the Canadian Association for Distance Education

Adult Literacy and Television: An Untapped
Resource?
The use of television as a teaching tool in adult literacy and basic skills
will be a major focus of the Summer Institute 2000 in Toronto, Ontario, from

Promise
Interface 2000 is a conference for educators and support staff interested in
how to best use technology to meet the needs of their students. Alberta
Distance Education and Training Association is one of the groups hosting the
