Learning Technologies: Practice and Promise Interface 2000 is a conference for educators and support staff interested in how to best use technology to meet the needs of their students. Alberta Distance Education and Training Association is one of the groups hosting the event which is being held at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta. ALT 2000 This year PBS LiteracyLink is hosting the annual Adult Literacy and Technology (ALT) Conference in Washington, DC. The conference is filled with practical workshops such as how to add multimedia to a website and integrating technology in project-based learning for ESL. The conference runs from June 14th-17th. EDMEDIA 2000 EDMEDIA 2000 is an international conference on educational multimedia, hypermedia and telecommunications sponsered by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE). Summer Institute 2000: Bridging the Gap Between Literacy and Technology The Samaritan House Training Centre is presenting two one-week training sessions on the use of their newly developed Bridging the Gap Curriculum Guides. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about their theme based language learning activities which integrate computer skills and their simplified user's manual for MS Word 97. The two sessions are being held in July (Session 1: July 10th - 14th, Session 2: July 17th - 21st) at The Samaritan House Training Centre in Brandon, Manitoba.
