Leslie Goodwin

This is an essay about myself. From a physical stand point I am six foot one inch, two hundred and thirty pounds. I guess I am a large man. I am twenty nine years old.

I work in the woods. I do thinning or silvaculture. I also cut studding and logs in the winter if the snow isn't too deep. I enjoy hard physical work because it makes me feel good. I also enjoy working in the woods because I can be outside with nature. I get to see a lot of birds and animals and enjoy the fresh air.

Other things that I enjoy are card games, mostly playing 45's at family card parties. I enjoy playing pool at my father's house when the family comes down in the summer. I also enjoy working on computers, both installing new hardware as well as playing games on the Internet.

I am not a people person. I am quiet and shy. I don't like places that are crowded like shopping malls. I guess I am not very outgoing. I would rather just do my own thing and let everyone else do what they want to.

I have been married to a beautiful woman for seven years. She works at the local convenience store. We have two boys, Zachary, who is six years old and Logan who is three years old. We are also going to have a third child in February. We are hoping for a girl this time. This is part of the reason I am trying to get my grade 12. It will allow me to apply to places that I couldn't before. Hopefully allowing me to get a more steady job which isn't seasonal. The job I am aiming for is at the penitentiary as a guard.

So that is me. In the middle life and trying to change things to improve life for my family and my new baby.
