With an expanded mandate to increase support for Laubach volunteers and students across the country, the staff of LLC is growing and changing.

Change, they say, is inevitable …and sometimes bittersweet. Luckily, our changes are not so much "good bye" as they are "good luck - and keep in touch!". Three very familiar faces have left the national staff to pursue other interests. In the case of Programs Manager Wendy Seys, that meant getting closer to Laubach's grass roots when she joined Yamaska Literacy Council in Cowansville, QC. For Bea Arbo and Shirley Hansen, co-managers of LLC's distributorship in Saint John, it meant embracing the leisure life of retirement. Bea and her husband kicked off their retirement by touring the country this summer in their fifth wheel camper. Shirley had time to spend on all those special grandma things before her granddaughter started school this fall. With these three went 41 years of Laubach experience - and we continue to keep in touch and to learn from all of them.

Growth doesn't always follow change, but in this case in does! In our March issue, we already introduced you to our new Executive Director Robin Jones, who joined LLC in January. Now we'd like you to meet (in order of arrival):

Rina Gallant, Distribution Coodinator at LLC's Distributorship in Saint John. Rina joined the staff in this full-time position (she'd been working part-time since Aug. '99) in May '00.

Lynne Ross, Manager, LLC's Distributorship in Saint John. Lynne started in June 2000.
