The following LLC students were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in literacy at the May Biennial Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Each received a framed "Learning Achievement Award." The awards were mailed to students who were unable to attend the ceremony. Congratulations to all! |

| Winnipeg Conference Feedback - A
Student's Perspective
Going to the conference in Winnipeg was an experience I won't forget. I learned a lot about myself and about other people with similar problems. It felt good just to be myself without having to hide it. Everyone was so open and understanding. The classes I attended were very helpful. The topics were Learning Disabilities, Study Plans, Setting Goals and Life Skills/Self-Esteem. The instructors made me very comfortable, which made it easy to talk and ask questions. Attending the conference has given me more self-confidence and a stronger desire to succeed. |
