President's Message
Oprah Winfrey New Year’s is a time I find myself caught between looking over my shoulder at what has happened in the past year and looking forward to all the next 12 months has to offer. As I reflect on the work of LDANB/TAANB it is also a time of assessment and resolve – assessment of the work all of our volunteers have done on behalf of New Brunswickers with Learning Disabilities and resolve to build on the efforts of our association to better serve all people who live with LD in our province. Each success we have experienced is a direct result of the work of our volunteers and this is the reason that LDANB/ TAANB is embarking on our 38th year of service and advocacy for New Brunswickers with LD! As you read this I hope that you will consider volunteering for LDANB/TAANB if you have not already done so – every bit of support is always helpful! Consider becoming involved as a board member, in fundraising, conference planning, etc. Call us. Let your New Year’s resolution be to give some of your time or talents to LDANB/TAANB to help the association grow.
May 2008 bring each of you good health and good fortune. Kathy Pader President, LDANB |
