A winner—a poem by Rosemary Bolton

I am a winner,
What I touch will turn to my future,
I am worth what I do.
Blind am I to my own successes
Reach out my hand to a future unknown
Compassion is my beacon to a sinking light
I am but one, a winner.
With a heavy heart I discover
“ Needs” is a want,
While "wants" should be a gift
Then, life is my need
The Earth my gift
A voice of one, a winner.
