Canada Post—Individual Achievement Literacy Award

Learners can be nominated for an award from Canada Post. To enter you must have improved your reading and writing skills and be a student in a recognized literacy program. You can get help to complete your entry but your story should be told from your point of view. These questions are a guide to telling your story:

  • What was your life like before you improved your reading and writing?
  • What made you decide to enter your program?
  • Describe what it was like once you were in the program, tell us how teachers helped you and what your experiences have been.
  • How has learning changed your life and what can you do now that your couldn’t do before?
