The student’s meeting in Fredericton by Jen Abric
My name is Jen Abric and I am currently taking my upgrading at the
Saint John Learning Exchange. I was asked if I wanted to attend the
Learners' Network Meeting in Fredericton February 23/24 2005 that
was put on by the Literacy Coalition of New Brunswick. I left Saint
John on February 23 on the bus, and I was on my way to Fredericton. I
arrived in Fredericton at 7 p.m., caught a cab and went to the Fredericton
Inn, where I was staying that night.
I got there and settled in my room and then
I went to a meeting and met all the people that would be going to the
workshop. On February
24th we went to the Lieutenant Governor's house for a tour. It was a
very beautiful house. After the tour we went back to the Fredericton
Inn and did the workshop on how to live on a Shoestring Budget by
Dorothy Silver. It was a very interesting workshop. I learned a lot of
really good things on how to save money. I just wanted to say thank you
for inviting me to the Learner's meeting in Fredericton. I met some
really great people and look forward to seeing them again. |
