Letters of Thanks

Recently we received this note from a winner of one of our $1500 scholarships.

I was the recipient of the 2003 Peter Gzowski Memorial Scholarship. I wish to convey my appreciation to you for the award.

It was such a great help to me financially and also an encouragement to have this support.

I will graduate from Holland College on June 20. I was able to secure a summer job in an office.

Thank you so much for your help in my journey to complete my education and seek different employment choices.

The following is an excerpt from a letter from Eliot River Elementary School.

Dear PEI Literacy Alliance Staff:

The entire Eliot River School Community wishes to thank you for your cash donation to our school’s Professional Development initiatives involving literacy for 2003/04. Your donation directly benefited the parents, students and staff of our school.

Most of the funds raised were invested in our Community Celebration of Literacy night.

We were thrilled with the community’s positive response to the event. We know that at least 400 people attended the Literacy Night on May 27th which involved more than 200 families.

All of your 192 literacy kits were given out at our event. All families were impressed and pleased!
