Bursary Program: First Round
Winners
In November the PEI Literacy Alliance bursary
committee met and chose five bursary winners from the first round of
applications.

Second Round of Bursaries Announced
From money raised at the 2000 PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy,
the Alliance will award up to ten bursaries. The bursaries are $500 grants for
adults who are working toward a grade 12 certificate or grade 12 equivalency
(GED).
An applicant must be an adult who:
- has not completed grade 12
- has been out of the school system for at least three years
- is in or plans to enter an upgrading program in PEI, and
- needs financial assistance
Applications must be received in our office, or postmarked on or
