Frances Ackerman, Director of The Fraser-Hickson Library received the award this year. Gillian di Vito, President of LPQ called upon Frances and spoke of her dedication to literacy and her very special way of making reading and books accessible not only at the Fraser-Hickson, but also throughout the community.

Frances spent a number of years as a Director of LPQ and her level of commitment to the organization is just one measure of her importance to literacy. Harold Spanier added his tribute to Frances and spoke of how she made the library such a vital part of the community.
