LPQ Annual Literacy Award

As has been the tradition for the past six years, LPQ awarded its Annual Literacy Award. We are very pleased to announce that the recipient of this year's award is Dennis Trudeau, Newswatch, CBC.

Dennis and CBC Montreal became involved with LPQ six years ago when they became our media sponsor for our Golf Day for Literacy. Since that time, Dennis' commitment to the cause of literacy and to LPQ has grown. He is perhaps most prominently remembered for his role in our annual Golf Days for Literacy, however Dennis has actively advocated on behalf of literacy and shown long-term and innovative support.

His energy, enthusiasm and increasing involvement in our activities have made him synonymous with the cause. As a result, he has been called upon to host other literacy activities for other provincial literacy organizations and has always been there for us.

No other English media outlet has undertaken so large a commitment to the promotion of literacy in Quebec, and this would not have been possible without Dennis Trudeau's involvement and readiness to help. His personal warmth and accessibility make him a most appropriate recipient of our award.
