Adult (2000) A four-stage program that uses contemporary content and instructional
approaches to teach the reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication
skills that adults need in todays world. Takes students from the
beginning stages of reading and writing through the ninth-grade level. Exploring the Atlantic Provinces (1998)
Takes the beginning reader on various tours, exploring nooks and crannies
throughout Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince
Edward Island. Several photographs and maps illustrate the areas covered in the
tours. Also contains a glossary of difficult words. The Grass Roots Readers (2000) An innovative series designed to provide simple text for adults who are
reading at or below a Grade 1 level. Offers a range of genres, including
romance, mystery, adventure, and non-fiction. The reader is presented with a
photograph and one to two lines of text on each page. The photography reflects
the diversity of todays society.
Multimedia Spelling Bee A very simple game that allows students to practice their spelling. Students
are asked to type the words they hear. Pictures are shown to help them remember
the words. Learning Outside The Lines : Two Students with
Learning Disabilities and ADHD Give You The Tools for Academic Success and
Educational Revolution (2000) Every day, your school, your teachers, and even your peers draw lines to
measure and standardize intelligence. This is written by two such
«academic failures», who graduated from Brown University at the top

true success. Literacy Kit (2000) Designed to help adults improve their reading skills. The books are
