in finding out about business loans, personal loans, mortgages, and making the
right investments. Also, as a manger, I help the other workers in the bank if
they need advice or assistance.

If someone wants to work in
the bank, they must have a minimum of a university education. When you come to
work at the bank, we will train you. You might first work as a bankteller. You
would then learn to do other jobs such as financial advisor, a lender who lends
money to businesses or assist people with organizing their finances. There are
many careers in a bank but first you need a good education.

education is free. You don't pay tuition fees. I think that is the way it
should be in Canada. I would really like education to be free for everyone.

If I didn't enjoy working with
people from other countries, I wouldn't be working at the bank. In my job, I
get to meet many people from allover the world. For example, we have customers
from all countries including India, Pakistan, Germany, France, the United
States, Japan, and many others.
Canada is a mosaic. This means that
people from all over the world live and work here and maintain their cultural
beliefs, languages, and heritage. I learn a lot from different cultures.
I think people are the same everywhere. People have the same needs and
wants. They want to succeed and they want to raise their families in peaceful
environments and have good paying jobs.
- When is International Literacy Day?
This year, September 8th was International
- Was there something special planned for that day?
Yes, UNESCO planned special celebrations allover the
world recognizing Literacy Day. It is important to set aside a time to give
special attention to Literacy. We all need to help illiterate people become
more literate. There were celebrations in Ottawa on that day and
representatives from each province were there to share their personal learning
experiences. A representative was selected from Newfoundland as well.
