We've Moved!

The Literacy Development Council would like to take this opportunity to inform all our readers that we have moved to a new office at 29 Hallett Crescent St. John's, NF. It is hoped that the new office space, in the O'Leary Industrial Park, will result in increased visitor traffic as well as improved access to resources for our stakeholders, volunteer board members and the general public.

This has been an exciting time for the Council, with a change of address as well as the selection of a new Director, Ms. Della Coish. Ms. Coish has worked in the literacy field since 1995. She was Coordinator of the Fogo Island Literacy Association for a three-year period and has been involved in a variety of literacy and education-oriented projects in the province since that time. Ms. Coish graduated from Memorial University with a Master of Educational Psychology (Counseling) in October 2000 and assumed her new role as Director in November 2000. To aid Ms. Coish in her work, the Council has hired Ms. Patricia McCarthy as Administrative Assistant.
