PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy 2004 ![]() ![]() ![]()
The PGI Golf Tournaments for Literacy were founded by Peter Gzowski to raise funds to teach people to read and write and to inspire Canadians to celebrate literacy. The PGI's are the most successful literacy fundraising events in Canada and have generated more than $7.6 million. On June 17, 2004, we once again will be teeing off at beautiful Bally Haly, St.John's, to support the important cause of literacy in our province. But the PGI is not just another one of the dozens of golf tournaments held in Newfoundland and Labrador each year. The PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy is different in a number of ways:
The success of the PGI's depend on the support of individuals and corporations. This support comes in various forms and includes not only golfers, but also hole/cart/luncheon. sponsorships, prize donations, volunteer time, etc. We would like to thank all of the sponsors who have made our efforts to promote literacy in Newfoundland and Labrador so successful and we look forward to their continued support in 2004! A special thank you to Aliant, our Platinum Sponsor, for their sponsorship for the 2004 PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy. It is all these kind contributions that allow us to reach so many people in need of literacy services. To find out how you can get involved, contact the Literacy Development
