Welcome to Family Literacy Canada! Family Literacy Canada is an exciting new way for family literacy practitioners and proponents to discuss and share information about what is happening in family literacy in Canada! It is also a way for others to learn about family literacy and to contact those involved. Family Literacy Canada is a listserv hosted by the National Adult Literacy Database as part of its mandate to collect, analyse, and distribute information on literacy programs, resources, services, and activities. Support services are being provided by the Centre for Family Literacy Project in Edmonton, Alberta. This support includes helping people to subscribe to the listserv and post messages, as well as other troubleshooting assistance. For those of you unfamiliar with listservs, subscribing to a listserv is a little like subscribing to a magazine. Once you "sign up", all messages posted on the listserv will be "delivered" right to your e-mailbox. It isn't like a bulletin board where you have to "go" to a web site or other location to see what discussion is taking place. We welcome you to take a look at the new listserv at flc@nald.ca and join in the discussion. |
