In this issue of Insights, we focus on employer supports and strategies for workplace Literacy and Essential Skills training. This issue also provides some information about the PIAAC survey for which results will be available later this year.
The OLES Tools and Resources section has been updated to include short descriptions of the tools and a three-step model to help you choose the right tools to support your essential skills activities. Also available is a new Tool User Guide with scenarios and additional tips for using the tools.
The Office of Literacy and Essential Skills (OLES) is a centre of expertise with a workplace focus, building awareness and capacity in "what works" in order to improve the literacy and essential skills (LES) of adult Canadians.
In this inaugural issue of Insights, we focus on employer perceptions of workplace LES training. There is a lot of information available on this topic, but Insights aims to consolidate this information through themed issues.
