Red Lake DistrictSpring is finally here. As you can see, we have a few new looks to the building, inside and out.

We'd like to welcome Rosalie Notter to our staff. She will assist in the creation of marketing materials and general organization of our resource materials. She will be working throughout the summer. Please drop by and say hi to Rosalie.


Talent Showcase

Do you have a talent to share with the community?

Paint BrushsAdults who have a short story, poem or essay to share, musicians who wish to perform or artists that wish to display their work are invited. Please contact Catherine Mochrie at the Adult Learning Centre by Tuesday, April 17th at 727-3207 for more information or to register. The Talent Showcase will be held on April 28th at 7:00pm at the Red Lake District High School.

Earth Day 2001
 
     

The Red Lake Green Committee will again be hosting the Earth day Exhibition at the Red Lake Community Centre on Sunday, April 22 from 1:00-3:00 pm. Bring your family to view the displays and to learn more about the natural world and ways to protect it.

Do you have a unique idea for reusing an item? Bring a sample for display and enter your name in a draw for a subscription to National Geographic.
Bring a Green Hint to add to the display and enter your name for a subscription to Nature Canada.

The WorldThere will be booths with information on Woodland Caribou Park; free trees from the Red Lake Forest Management Co.; free books from the Red Lake District Adult Learning Centre; information on recycling and a chance to purchase a blue box; composting; free house plants from the Green Committee; children's craft table; ideas for chemically free cleansers; and unleaded tackle information and samples.

Come on out on Earth Day, April 22 at the Red Lake Community Centre.
