Life Workshops

We just had two very interesting workshops. January 25th, in the afternoon, we had one on Funeral Information. We had a good turn out and more important was the input and questions that people had. We touched on subjects such as living wills, attorneyship, and cremation. Bob Stevens told us the history concerning undertakers. It was truly informative.

The next day, we had an all day workshop on retirement and what to expect. Ruth Londry facilitated this one and brought a guest speaker, Fred Mota with her to talk to us about gambling. Ruth told us the pitfalls of becoming an older person, but gave us coping techniques to make this a special time in our lives.

We really need to be grateful for the service workers in our community that come out and spend time doing these workshops and helping us to understand and make informed decisions.

Coffee House

Don't forget that this is the month of the 6th Annual Coffee House Admission is Free Saturday, February 25th at the Red Lake Legion Doors open at 6:30pm We have poems, readings, music and art. Something for everyone. Be sure to be there. For more information call 727-3207.

Writing Your Memoirs

We are still willing to start a course in Writing Your Memoirs. We have an instructor and all the material. We need some interest. If you are wanting to get started, we can help. It is a wonderful way to leave behind what you want people to know about you. This course will start you on your way to compiling memories and pictures to pass on to the next generation.
