Life WorkshopsWe just had two very interesting workshops. January 25th, in the afternoon, we had one on Funeral Information. We had a good turn out and more important was the input and questions that people had. We touched on subjects such as living wills, attorneyship, and cremation. Bob Stevens told us the history concerning undertakers. It was truly informative. The next day, we had an all day workshop on retirement and what to expect. Ruth Londry facilitated this one and brought a guest speaker, Fred Mota with her to talk to us about gambling. Ruth told us the pitfalls of becoming an older person, but gave us coping techniques to make this a special time in our lives. The goal of education is to
replace an empty mind with an open mind. We really need to be grateful for the service workers in our community that come out and spend time doing these workshops and helping us to understand and make informed decisions. Coffee House
