Potato Casserole

6 potatoes
1 cup shredded cheese
½ cup sour cream
¹/₃ cup chopped green onions
salt and pepper to taste

Peel and boil potatoes until tender. Drain. Add remaining ingredients and fold in together. Put into a greased baking dish and bake at 350° until warmed right through, about 15 minutes

Spring Basket

Have you seen the basket that we are raffling off for our spring fund raiser? It is beautiful and very springy. You will want to take a look at it at the Lakeview Restaurant and then you will want to get a ticket for only a dollar each. The draw will be held on April 8^th, 2004 at the Lakeview. Good Luck!

Coffee House

February 28^th, was the night of our Coffee House, and what a huge success it was. Over 200 people were there to enjoy the poems, stories, singing and music that was presented. Tension was high as the curtain went up sharp at seven o’clock, but it did ease as a steady stream of performers followed each other up on to the stage.

Complete silence filled the hall as stories and poems were being read, and vigorous clapping and toe tapping happened with the instrumentals and singing. The crowd was very interested and enjoyed themselves a lot.

Dainties made by the Lutheran Ladies were thoroughly enjoyed and along with coffee and tea, topped off the evening for those that wanted to visit during break time.

A great array of local art work was on display and greatly appreciated by everyone there. Many comments of disbelief and amazement at the amount of talent we have in our town were heard throughout the evening.

With the generosity of people donating their time, talent and energy, the evening was totally free. Advertizing by our local businesses covered the costs that we did have.
It was a magical evening, giving people of the Red Lake area a sense of pride in what we can do in our town.
