COFFEE HOUSE
The Coffee House for 2006 was a huge success. We had 29
performers and an audience of about 275. The evening started at 7:00pm
sharp and three sets of great entertainment took us to 11:45pm. There
is an enormous amount of talent for such a small community and we are
sure that we have only showcased a small number. It was nice to see so
many step forward to entertain us. And the audience was most appreciative.
The purpose of the Coffee House each year is so that adults have a place
to display their talent. Children get many chances to cultivate their
talents, but adults are limited. Over the last six years it has become
more and more popular and has turned into quite an evening to look forward
to.
We strive to do the best that we can and not charge admission
and so far with the generosity of donations from local businesses and
the
hard work and commitment of the students at the Centre and others in
the community, we have been able to do just that. We would like to thank
those that advertised in our program. Glenda

YOU KNOW YOU'RE FROM NORTHERN ONTARIO WHEN
- Your idea of a traffic jam is three cars waiting
to pass a logging truck on the highway.
- You measure distance in
hours.
- You know several people who have hit a moose more than
once.
- You often
switch from heat to air conditioning in the same day.
- People
wear hunting clothes at social events.
- Driving is better
in the winter
because the
potholes are filled with snow.
- You think lingerie is tube socks and flannel pyjamas.
- It takes
you three hours to go to the store for one item, because you stop
and talk to
everyone in town.
