What a success! What an accomplishment! April 28th
saw the high school gym transformed into an intimate coffee house, where over
100 people gathered to watch a variety of artists and performers. They got is
ALL. There was lots of poetry and personal readings, musicians, a jazz band, a
mime group and even comedy acts. Students from Impact Art and other local
artists had their work on display. A good cup of coffee and some delectable
dainties topped off the evening.
A lot of work went into this evening by a lot of people and it
was truly worthwhile, also a lot of businesses in the area donated. Everyone
that attended was pleasantly surprised by all the talent in this area and are
requesting that this be an annual event.
Folks from the Adult Learning Centre will be
travelling to Dryden this year on May 25 to 27 to the Literacy North West
Annual Conference.
There is a number if interesting workshops to choose from and
Glow Bowling on Friday night and a pool beach party on Saturday night. We are
all looking forward to this learning experience, time of meeting new people and
having fun.

- Think of others as you would think of you.
- Care for others as you would have them care for you, for
sometimes we forget to think and do not care.
- Give to others as you would have them give to you.
- Share with others as you would have them share with you, for
sometimes we give and take, but do not share.
- Look at others as you would have them look at you.
- See others as you would have them see you, for sometimes we
look, but do not see.
- Find no fault in others or they may find fault in you.
- Do not lose faith in others or they may lose faith in you,
for, if you find fault, you lose faith and overlook goodness.
- Hope for others and they will have hope for you.
- Have love for others and they will have love for you, with
love there is hope, and with hope there is faith.
- Pray for others as you would have them pray for you.
- Give thanks for those blessings you have found.
