Another year, another credit! Another school year has come to a close. Classes will end June 15th. We have all had a really good year and although we are looking forward to summer, we are really going seeing each other every day. Be watching in the fall for our new trilingual sign. Hope everyone has a good and a safe summer and we are looking forward to seeing you in the fall.

Bullying Committee

Cartoon kidsA Bullying Committee meeting was held on Friday, May 11, 2001 at the Glad Tidings church basement, and about 30 people attended. A presentation was given by Rob Clouston of the Ontario Provincial Police. He had a 15 minute film and demonstrated the Oppies, a puppet show. Allyson Coogan also was present with two films. A week in September has been picked as a target against bullying, and the name Anti Bullying Campaign - Building a Community of Respect has been given. There was a lot of brainstorming and sharing of ideas going on at this meeting as the people present realize what a serious problem this is and want to see it stopped.

The site Coordinator will be finished on June 22, but there will be LTA's here for the evenings until July 31. Then we will be closing up shop until August 7 when Marlene will be back, refreshed and ready to go. Have a great summer and keep on learning.

Many Thanks
