We're all saddened to say goodbye to Annemarie
Wesolowski as she will be leaving the Red Lake Adult Education Centre. She has
been at the Centre since 1991 and will leave a void in the hearts of many of
us.
She is leaving to take a new position with the Literacy Northwest Network.
She will be located in Dryden until March, when that office moves to Thunder
Bay. She's promised to drop by frequently. Thank you for your hard work,
dedication, and caring.
Good luck, Annemarie.
New to our scene is Johanna White. She isn't
really so new as she has been around the Centre before doing computer training.
She'll now be a permanent fixture. Welcome aboard.
We are expecting the arrival shortly of a 20 week, 4 high school
credit computer course. This will be a great opportunity for many of us to gain
those extra credits we need to complete our Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
Introductory Computers will also be taught during late afternoons.
A number of us have enrolled in a parenting course. This also will be a high
school credit course. We're definitely on our WAY.....
We have interesting times ahead. On Friday, November 19th, Mrs. Beck will be
in to give us a presentation on China.
On Friday, November 26th we will be getting some hands-on on the Internet with
Johanna White.
On Tuesday, November 30th Kerri Gagné, the dietician, will be talking to
us about healthy eating.
