WINTER IS ON THE WAY

Red Lake District Adult Learning Centre logo

Well this is the part of the year when we are deepest into study. The Centre is full. We have a lot of students this year and they are sure an eager lot. You can almost hear the knowledge being absorbed. Contact North has students here during the day and some evenings are full to overflowing. The regular students are hard at it. They have had to make some serious adjustments this year. They have had to get used to a new teacher, which is hard after nine years with the same one. They have done well though. And we have the Job Readiness Program going on also. They are a young, lively bunch of young people that have added a new and pleasant dimension to our study area. It is interesting to see all the different age groups meshing together for the common purpose of learning.

Notice how the days are getting shorter? Pretty soon it will be a blessing to sit inside and study.

EXCEL CLASSES

Excel classes are almost finished. We had a full class of eager learners, that did very well with their class. Excel is a spread sheet program that allows you to organize data, calculate mathematical functions, make decisions, graph data, and develop professional looking reports. It is very helpful in the workplace.
