My heart was barren,
My heart was cold.
My life was empty
'Cause Satan had a hold.

I turned to Jesus,
He had one thing to say.
He said, "Son, look, You're
Going the wrong way."

So I read my Bible,
Trying to learn.
I found out if I didn't
I was going to burn.

Now I have found Christ,
I know He loves me.
He died for my sins,
So I could be free.

He sent His companion
To dwell in my heart.
My life now, no longer
Is falling apart.

Satan has fled,
He has no hold.
I give praise to the Lord
For setting me free.
