And I began to wane
Those days of mutual existence

They raked and towed their gear

With squid and herring too
But now we are forced to scavenge
Or in cod farms like a zoo

The predator they protected
And hounded me to ruin
And anyone who killed a seal
Was likened to a blood thirsty goon

And "burn your boats" was the
Battle cry of those with least to loose
Forced upon like resettlement
Again the people could not choose

We know what's best for you
And after repeated management plans
Nothing has come through
