Is the End
Near?

What will happen when 1999 comes to an end?
Will the
night close in and a new day begin?
Will the clouds get black and the sun
die out?
Will all earth's creatures cry and scream and shout? |

Should we all run and seek cover?
Scream with fear,
shake and quiver?
Hide from the ashes, the soot and steam?
Will it seem
like reality or will it just be a dream? |

Will the world end with a bang, a bump or a blow?
Will it come to a stop or speed up and go?
Will we fall off and be hurdled
in space?
Shall I get my kin and find a safe place? |

This is just my opinion if I had my say.
The world will
keep going in the same old way.
Everything will be the same with nothing
new.
You'll still have me and I'll still have you.
