| Attention all inmates, report to the Van. You're going to the potato fields. The above headline, indirectly translated from our staff, are the type of words that have given strength to the "Salmonier Correctional Institution." The foundation of "Salmonier" is a work oriented environment enhanced though the unity of staff and inmates. This may be sprinkled with a shadow of sarcasm and ironic misconceptions at times but the past number of weeks has given life to this idea, with the harvesting of our potato crop. It has been amazing to watch the amount of hard work and pride that existed within this institution, as trucks were loaded up with tools and inmates for the fields. Everybody worked with pride as crates were filled, transported to the cellar, dried, and bagged for the long winter months ahead. It has been estimated that approximately 50,000 lbs. of potatoes were harvested. "Congratulations Salmonier!!!" and as "Stamping Tom" puts it: "heres another big load of potatoes." Written By: D. R. In this issue... A Job Well Done The Life and Times of Dr. Mercer. It's a story of one man's intelligence, hard work and tremendous dedication and how it has all been blessed with unending success.
