I ended part one of my article saying that forgiveness is very important and that it is only with forgiveness that you can get on with your life.

Remember what I said about your past, the environment wherein you came into the world? We are not going to look at the loving home at this time because most of you never had that environment. I am going to show you the path that you are on and tell you why you are on that particular path.

Have you ever heard of the word Ego? Well, for the guys who met me since I came here, you know what I am talking about. For those of you whom I haven't told I will try to give you a bit of help in recognizing it.

Suppose you were dreaming and in that dream everything appeared very real to your mind. If you were to never wake up, you would go on perceiving your dream to be absolutely real. But low and behold, you do wake up and there is another world more real than the dream world This world is peopled with real things that you can touch and all your senses tell you that this is indeed the only reality that there is. I will tell that this is NOT the only reality. Your world that you are living in is only a figment of your imagination created by your past experiences. The very thing that your ego feeds upon.

This ego stands for pain, attack a little bit of pleasure. The only reason that your ego gives you pleasure is to ensure that you never look elsewhere to find out your true reality or to find out who you really are.

Simply put, your ego is like that part of your mind that perceives your dreams to be real. When you wake up your ego do not go away because you do not make a conscience decision to get rid of it. It is always there in the back of your mind directing your reality. In fact, it is your reality with all your past experiences that keeps your ego around making sure that your future is like your past - full of pain, hurt and sadness.

But you can get rid of your ego and when you do, it will be the best time in your life. Your past will no longer guide your future. You, without your ego, will be determining your future with all the power that God will give you. You will now be in control of your new life for the first time.
