CPHAs mission is to constitute a special national re s o u rce in Canada that advocates for the improvement and maintenance of personal and community health according to the public health principles of disease prevention, health pro m o t i o n and protection, and healthy public policy. National Literacy and Health Program The National Literacy and Health Program (NLHP) is a partnership of 28 national health associations working together to raise awareness among Canadian health professionals about the links between literacy and health. The NLHP provides health professionals with resources to help them serve people with low literacy skills more effectively. The NLHPs Plain Language Service offers plain language assessments, revisions and workshops to the public, private and voluntary sectors. |
