CLO's Lifelong Learning for Literacy Practitioners

Introduction

LLLP Website Benefits

Employment Ontario Partners

Employment Ontario (EO) partner agencies are looking for:

  • up-to-date and accurate information on the programming literacy agencies provide
  • well-trained clients who are ready to access EO services after literacy upgrading

One of the purposes of this site is to provide a one-stop information source for Employment Ontario agencies and other community partners to help them understand the roles and skills of literacy practitioners. We know that adult learners are in the hands of skilled practitioners when they enter a literacy program. The LLLP website is designed to help our various partners also understand this fact.

Individuals with an Interest in Literacy

Literacy agencies are closely linked with their communities and work very hard to increase their agency profiles. Community Literacy of Ontario's Lifelong Learning for Literacy Practitioners website provides solid information and background for anyone who might wish to explore a career in the literacy field or anyone who may have an interest in literacy in general.

Individuals can begin an investigation of literacy practice in Ontario – what it means to be a practitioner and the required skills and qualifications of literacy work. Interested individuals can also access much of the online training and resources that are referenced on this website.
