CLO's Lifelong Learning for Literacy Practitioners

Training Opportunities

Other Training Opportunities

Up to this point, this section has highlighted some training opportunities that increase practitioners' skills and abilities in certain skills areas. Of course, there are many other skills that literacy practitioners may want or need to increase in order to deliver effective literacy instruction and run effective literacy programs. The following organizations all offer training or directories of training that can be relevant to literacy practitioners. You might want to check their websites regularly to see what is available. Please remember that the samples that we have included are only a snapshot of the endless training opportunities and possibilities. You are encouraged to conduct an even broader search via the Internet and through your own personal connections with friends, family, work colleagues and organizations in your community and beyond.
